Копия IMG_5893.JPGEnjoy wonderful views of Doha in the picture gallery made by Maria Bolshakova and Karlovich Anastasiya!
Doha
is the capital of Qatar located on the Persian Gulf. The population of Doha on January 1st 2011 is around 1 million people, of whom approximately 350,000 are citizens. Doha is Qatar's largest city, with over 80% of the nation's population residing in Doha or its surrounding suburbs, and is also the economic centre of the country.

One of the fastest growing cities in the region, and the commercial and cultural heart of the country, Doha hosted the Asian Games in December 2006 and is rapidly establishing itself as an exciting travel destination, whether for business or pleasure. It will also host a large number of the venues for the
2022 FIFA World Cup. The official language of the country is Arabic, but English is widely spoken and understood, and non-Arabic speakers will encounter no difficulties. Копия IMG_6526.JPG

Doha
is a shopaholic’s paradise! Besides a myriad of traditional small shops and shopping complexes, a number of huge malls have recently opened, each one bigger and more stylish than the last. Traditionally in Arabian towns, shops were grouped in different districts according to what they sold and this is still the case in Doha, where one can find whole streets of tailors or fabric shops. The information was taken from the wikipedia and the official website of Qatar Airways.
